Reading Robert Saltzman’s book Understanding Claude, which explores whether AI may or may not be capable of self awareness, is making me question what I can really know and/ or understand about my own awareness and direct experience of consciousness and phenomena – the nature of my own mind.

The long and the short of it is I find I’m unable to declare anything for certain. Answers merely provoke more questions which is, for me, is not a problem but a realisation that there really is no explaining anything.
